Quit Services Portal for Virginian Healthcare Providers

The Quit Now Virginia E-Referral portal is a free, evidence-based service that allows healthcare providers, physicians and their staff to send cessation referrals directly to the Quit Services through a secure website. Quit Coaches will proactively call the referred patient to offer support for their quit journey. RVO Health, our Quit Services provider, will also send the healthcare provider an outcome report indicating:

  • Participant Date of Birth
  • Contact Date (if reached)
  • Planned Quit Date (if accepted services)

At every visit, we encourage you (based on USPSTF recommendations) to ASK about tobacco use, ADVISE patients to quit, and proactively REFER them to free Quit Services through the E-Referral portal.

It is our goal to provide the technical assistance needed to include referral services into your practice. The VDH TCP Regional Coordinators are available with support and technical assistance for your implementation of the referral services.
